Mission San Diego de Alcala, founded in 1769 by Father Junipero Serra. The current church (the fifth on this location) is a replica of the 1813 (fourth) church.
The original church was destroyed only 1 year after completion by American Indians, and rebuilt the following year by Junipero Serra.
