
Glenn Canyon dam was built between 1956-1964. Height: 216m; length: 475m; 3.7 million cubic meters of concrete; 1320 MW generated power.

The dam also regulates the amount of freshwater that is available in 4 states: Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming, in addition to part of Mexico.

Intakes (left). When open, the intakes allow water to flow from upstream to downstream the dam, going through the generators.
